Lady Susan is a complete epistolary novel that follows the widowed Lady Susan Vernon as she searches for a husband for both herself and her daughter.  A detachment from the tone of Jane's other novels, the protaganist being selfish and scheming, trying to trap a husband whilst also maintaining a relationship with a married man.
