Persuasion

Persuasion was the last complete novel that Jane Austen ever wrote and was published posthumously in December 1817 along with Northanger Abbey. Her brother Henry had organised the publication and included a preface identifying her as the author of all her previous published novels, as they had been published anonymously.

It is sometimes commented on that Persuasion is rushed as she wrote the novel in under a year with her failing health, and perhaps would have fared better for a further revision. Whether or not that is true, I still adore the story of Anne Elliot and Captain Wentworth.
