Anna Chancellor is a great niece (8 generations removed) of Jane Austen from her brother Edward Knight.

 

As Anna does not like to be defined by her familial connections, I will not go into detail here. However, what is worthy of note is her  portrayal of Miss Caroline Bingley in the 1995 BBC adaptation of Pride and Prejudice. I think that she captures the character perfectly.
